Curved and flat lead wiping pads for shaping wiped lead joints on PILC and lead-sheathed cable. Each pad is bed-ticking woven cotton, quadruple stitched, about 0.3" thick with just enough give to mold hot lead. Curved pads (2x2 to 4x4) fit smaller cable; flat pads (3x3 to 5x5) work most lead sleeves; the 8x8 utility pad handles the biggest splices. The 3x3 flat is the splicers' favorite.

Prep tip: We recommend rubbing a stearine candle onto the wipe before use.
